Junior Resident DJ - Guidelines

To become a Junior Resident DJ, you need to have been active within the community for a minimum of 4 months.

Application Process

Step 1: Contact Charlotte on Discord and get set up.
  • Reach out to charlotte_tribexr on Discord to express your interest in applying for the Junior Resident DJ program and she will guide you through the process.
  • Join the Young DJ Elites on Discord. Charlotte will add you to this group if you have not already been added.

Step 2: Agree to the Guidelines
  • Carefully review and agree to the Junior Resident DJ guidelines here, which outline expectations, responsibilities, and code of conduct.

Step 3: Attend Regular Workshops and be active in the community
  • Actively participate in regular workshops hosted by Tribe XR to enhance your DJing skills and knowledge. We’ll need to see you in shops a few times before considering your application

Step 4: Audition
  • Set up a time for evaluation by the Tribe XR team in a video call.

  • Record your own mix
    • Front cam so we can see the decks and what you are doing.

Step 5: Create a Mix
  • Create a high-quality DJ mix that showcases your skills, musical taste, and ability to engage an audience. The mix should be at least 10 minutes long. Follow this guide to help you. RECORDING TIPS
  • If needed, the team can assist with recording your final mix

Step 6: Streaming and Rewards
  • Upon completion of your refined mix, it will be streamed live on Tribe XR's Twitch channel.
  • You will receive a badge and the Junior Resident DJ role on Discord, recognising your dedication and talent.

Step 7: Maintain Activity
  • To maintain your Junior Resident DJ status, ensure regular activity in the program, attending workshops, participating in discussions, and contributing to the community.
  • After 3 months of inactivity, the Junior Resident DJ role will expire, requiring you to reapply if you wish to continue.
